  • ABOUT THE EVENT

    The International Air Transport Forum (IATF-2012) will take place in Ulyanovsk at “Vostochniy” airport on the 23-25 of August, 2012. It is the main B2B-event in Russia that is devoted to the civil aviation and its development. The agenda  includes business and official roundtables, sport and entertainment events.

    The organizer include the Government of the Ulyanovsk region. It is supported by the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the RF Ministry of Transportation, the United Aircraft Corporation, Council of the Russian economy in Germany, Closed JSC “Vneshaviacosmos”.  IATF is the official event of the Year of Germany in Russia 2012-2013.

    IATF-2012 Program includes an International Congress and an Exhibition, a Youth Air Transport Forum, All-Russian General Aviation Forum, the aviation show, competitions in aviation sports and many other arrangements.

    VENUE


     

    The venue for the Forum wasn't chosen by a mere chance.  Ulyanovsk region is one of the largest aviation centers of the country; it demonstrates good dynamics in the sphere of sector modernization and development.  Investment projects are realized here and it also supports active enterprises, organizations and educational institutions, which are the basis of the region's aviation cluster.  A port special economic zone created in the region provides excellent investment conditions.  Ulyanovsk is an ideal place for conducting a large-scale event in the sphere of commercial aviation, demonstrating by its own example the possibility of creating conditions necessary for sector development. Its modern infrastructure and equidistance from the largest Russian cities as well as countries of Europe and Asia, make the city attractive for the reception of high-profile guests.
